Early Childhood Programs
Surround Care
Full time childcare is available between the hours of 7 a.m. and
6 p.m. Care is available for children 3 years and older including
GHCS students, family members and the greater Grand Haven community.
Surround Care provides a Christian atmosphere where your child can
play, learn, and grow as an individual.

3's and 4's Preschool
Young Explorers Preschool is designed to meet the unique needs of
three and four year old children. It provides a secure and caring
environment in which children can learn through discovery and
develop thinking skills and creative expression. Each class includes
a half-hour Spanish Immersion session once a week. Young Explorers
Preschool emphasizes the worth of each child uniquely and as a child
of God.
We offer the following Preschool classes for 3-year-olds
("3's"):
- Mon/Weds/Fri, 9:00 - 11:30 am
- Tues/Thurs, 9:00 - 11:30 am
We offer the following Preschool classes for 4-year-olds
("4's"):
- Mon/Weds/Fri, 9:00 - 11:30 am
- Tues/Thurs, 9:00 - 11:30 am, with optional Wednesday
from 12:15 - 2:45 pm
Classes that meet twice a week cost $1062, while classes that
meet three times per week cost $1377. Note that the 4's
Tues/Thurs with
optional Wednesday class costs $1377.

Small Talk
Small Talk is an innovative language immersion program for 0-5
year old children to learn Spanish from a native speaker while
accompanied by a parent. Each 50 minute class session is loaded with
song, dance, and games from a Christian perspective-everything that
excites and engages a young child.

Young 5's-8th grade
Students participate in a variety of learning activities that
meet their needs academically, physically, socially, emotionally,
and spiritually. Our Christ-centered learning environment consists
of small group lessons, large group gatherings, many hands-on
activities, and traditional teacher to class instruction.
Educational Support Services
GHCS is a prekindergarten through eighth-grade inclusive
educational environment supporting the belief that every student is
able to learn from and contribute to the community. ESS is a program
designed to provide a wide variety of learners, including those with
mild to moderate special needs, with a more personalized
instructional design implemented in general education classrooms and
pull out settings.
