Señora Anna Machiela

Education Background:

I love to learn and have degrees from MCC, GVSU, and WMU and then continued on at Colorado State Pueblo

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for 22 years at West Ottawa as a Spanish Specialist and as a 5th grade teacher, but now I feel very privileged to be your child’s Spanish teacher. The Lord has blessed me with the creative gift of teaching Spanish and I want to use it to serve others.

Personal Biography:

I am really excited to be at Grand Haven Christian! I was born here in West Michigan but my heritage is from Spain and Mexico. I am married and have 3 children who are all in their 20’s and 30’s. I also have two beautiful granddaughters. Kaylee is 5 years old and Holly is 3 years old. They are living with me this year as their father is serving in Honduras. Needless to say, I LOVE being a grandma! I also have a tiny Yorkie puppy named Emerald Blessing and another one named Sapphire Faith. They make every day quite interesting. I also love to ride my bike, take walks with Emerald and Sapphire, shopping and spending time with family.

Integration of Faith in the Classroom:

Fun Fact:

I have played the trumpet, French horn, cornet, baritone and trombone.
