First Priority was launched at GHC in January 2018 by a group of students ready to be leaders and share their faith stories with others. First Priority is a student-led club that uses a Christ, campus, church model – connecting the church and our campus for Christ. At GHC, First Priority is supported by the staff and a local youth pastor. This group meets before school each week to provide an opportunity for students to share how God is working in their lives. 

By giving the leadership opportunity to the students, they become empowered and take greater ownership of their faith. This prompts students to retell their stories to teams, families, and friends throughout the week. It is powerful to see middle school students excited about sharing their faith walks with others and growing together through their struggles and their triumphs.
