I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2005 where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education; with a triple minor in Physical Education, Science and English. I was also blessed with the opportunity to continue playing college soccer at CMU where I played for 5 years and learned to share God’s light on and off the pitch as a young adult and student athlete.

After college, I married my husband Steve and we lived in Illinois where I started my teaching journey. We then started our own beautiful family and headed back to Michigan where I have taught for 10+ years in neighboring schools. I have 3 incredible daughters, 2 that attend GHC and 1 that will be at WMCHS in the upcoming year.

In my free time I love to spend time with my family, but I also love to play sports, run, hike and just enjoy the outdoors. I find that many of these loves are also found in my second grade classroom. It is extremely beneficial for students to be active and hands-on in their learning as well as to be outside in God’s beautiful creation exploring and being curious learners. I am so grateful to be given the gift to teach a Christ-centered education to young students who are embracing and learning their role in God’s story and sharing their light with those around them; not only in school but also in their very own communities.
