I graduated from Calvin University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. In the fall of 2003, I began my teaching career here at GHC! In 2007, I began directing the middle school and high school choirs at WMC. And, in 2010, I earned my Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Grand Valley State University.

My husband, Dave, and I are proud parents of our four *spirited* children: Jack, Clara, Louise, and Cecilia. In addition to teaching music, I love to sing and play the piano in my spare time. I also enjoy performing locally as a soloist. My husband and I met in the choir at Calvin, ad we also sang in the Calvin Alumni Choir together for several seasons.

I believe as Christians, we are mandated to make a joyful noise to the Lord! By singing and making music, we have the distinct privilege of connecting with each other and with our Creator. I am honored to partner with classroom teachers, parents, extended families, and churches in the musical training of our children in this faith community. It is my life’s passion to help every child succeed in developing his or her musical talents to the glory of God!
