Onica Nop

6th-8th Math

I am from Salisbury, Vermont where I grew up on a dairy farm with my five siblings.  I graduated from Dordt University with a degree in Spanish Education and endorsements in Middle School Math and Science, and ESL.  I taught math, science, and Spanish in Hanford, California for one year before moving to Michigan.  I absolutely love getting to be a teacher and doing math all day.

The highlight of my job is getting to know my students and developing relationships with them.  My hope is that my students will not only grow in their knowledge of mathematics, but also that they will grow in their love for the Lord and work hard for His glory.  Some of my hobbies include hiking, skiing, water sports, soccer, painting, drawing, and shopping. I have also gotten involved in coaching basketball and soccer which has been a ton of fun!

Deep Hope

My deep hope for my students is that together we work hard to grow in our relationships with God through discovering His creative and orderly character in mathematics.
